Meet Dr. Sushmitha Patibandla

Dr. Sushmitha Patibandla, often referred to by patients as “Dr. Sush” by her patients, is a double board-certified clinical cardiac electrophysiologist, specializing in irregular heart rhythm issues, known as cardiac arrhythmias. While treating all forms of arrhythmia in both male and female patients, Dr. Patibandla has a particular interest in female cardiac health.

Cardiac arrhythmias can be a scary prospect for many patients and Dr. Patibandla is dedicated to educating her patients with accurate information about their condition. Typically, arrhythmia patients have a number of options for treatment and management of their condition. Dr. Patibandla believes in a stepped approach to care starting with the most conservative options.

Dr. Patibandla is particularly focused on the minimal invasive surgical management of the most common cardiac arrhythmias including Atrial Fibrillation or AFib. She specializes in an advanced curative procedure known as cardiac catheter ablation. In particular, Dr. Patibandla is one of the few electrophysiologists in the United States and around the world that use a zero-fluoroscopy approach to this procedure. This means that no x-ray radiation is used, rather employing advanced heart mapping technology and ultrasound guidance.
