Pacemaker

Pacemakers are specialized devices with leads (wires) inserted in by your doctor in the operating room (CATH LAB) to treat slow heartbeat causing symptoms or syncope / fainting. They can be single wire, double or triple wire devices selected by your doctor based on your heart condition. Newer pacemaker devices are smaller, longer lasting and many no longer use wires.
